Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 10 years’ experience in accounting, ideally from Big4 audit
  • CPA
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare monthly financial analysis of results
  • Ability to communicate financial information into sound business language
  • Proven ability to produce accurate, high-quality work while meeting established deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build a top-tier team
Responsibilities
  • The Vice President of Finance and Accounting is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and support to accounting functions and operations of the company with responsibility for: overseeing the corporate and operational accounting processes of the enterprise including GL reporting, AR, AP, Fixed Assets and payroll as well as leading the Treasury function of the company working in collaboration with Treasury Manager and CFO to develop improved Treasury operations and facilitate capital raises as needed
  • Operationalizes accounting systems and processes to deliver continuous improvements
  • Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting
  • Supports internal auditing processes and control testing and reviews and coordinates external audits
  • Uses in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and best practices to develop accounting professionals
  • Develops and implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP standards
  • Plans and directs ledger accounts, consolidation processes, and cost management activities
  • Reviews routine monthly reporting and is the primary leader responsible for ensuring the routine close of the company
  • Plays a key role in reviewing and collaborating with Executive leadership to review financial performance through comparison to historical and forecasted financial information
  • Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business
  • Increase productivity by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements
  • Build and maintain financial models to perform what if/ad hoc requests from CFO
  • Interest in learning about business operations and willingness to participate in limited domestic travel
