Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Software Developer to join their  global application development team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge Risk and Trading systems that empower business users to make informed decisions in a fast-paced energy trading environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications that support Trading, Risk, and Backoffice operations.
  • Work in an agile development environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive full-stack development efforts, ensuring the seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
  • Apply your expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), databases (MySQL, Postgres), Python, and AWS to create scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Leverage your experience working in the energy commodity trading sector to contribute valuable insights to our development projects.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in software development, with a proven track record of working independently and as part of an agile development team.
  • Proficiency in full-stack development, with the ability to design and implement both front-end and back-end solutions.
  • Strong expertise in SDLC best practices, databases (MySQL, Postgres), Python, and AWS.
  • Previous experience working in an energy commodity trading company is highly desirable, as it will enable you to better understand the unique challenges and requirements of our industry.
