Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager
A Houston-based wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to help build and lead an in-house tax offering for its established client base.
This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA coming out of public accounting who enjoys complex tax work but is ready for a better quality of life.
The firm serves successful business owners, executives, and family groups and has a built-in client base that regularly needs sophisticated tax planning and compliance support. The role will focus on serving existing clients rather than generating new business. Why This Role Is Different

Responsibilities
Review and manage complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and family group tax returns
Provide proactive tax planning for business owners and high-net-worth individuals
Work closely with financial advisors to integrate tax strategies into broader planning
Serve as a trusted tax resource for clients
Research tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly
Help develop processes and best practices as the tax offering grows
Qualifications
Active CPA required
8+ years of tax experience preferred
CPA firm experience required
Strong experience with business owners, closely held companies, and high-net-worth individuals
Ability to manage complex tax work independently
Strong client communication skills
