Our medical center client company is seeking to add a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to their accounting department. This specialized practice is a leader in their area of expertise and is known globally for the type of treatment they provide.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that patients and insurance companies are properly billed for all services
Input charges and keep them up to date; obtain required forms for insurance patients
Maintain accurate and updated records of charges and payments
Assure established procedures for processing A/R billings, receipts, cash applications, denials management, etc.
Provide Letters of Guarantee (LOGs) and estimates as needed
Process credit card/ACH payments as needed
Assist, monitor and provide corrective action to accounts receivable workflow processes
Oversee patient record document requests and update spreadsheet accordingly
Verify invoices from external vendors for accuracy
Ensure compliance with international patient billing procedures
Compile financial history reports for each billing cycle
Provide estimates to guarantor and request payment
Perform and/or coordinate month-end close processes
Maintain accurate aging report of the department
Ensure new patient registration packets are filled out correctly Â
