North Houston giant seeks experienced Senior Accounting  Analyst due to growth

DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a large, international company headquartered in the Woodlands.  They have a wonderful culture in the corporate team, room to grow, and excellent benefits.  This is a rapidly growing company through acquisition and organic growth, and they seek talented professionals to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to strengthen their accounting skills by improving financial controls and processes including but not limited to month-end close, day and day processes, management reporting and accounting analysis.  The position will also assist with quarter-end consolidation and corporate disclosures, and special project support will be required.

This is a high visibility position with ample upward mobility with a global company
and will serve an important role as part of the accounting team.  This group is restructuring processes and streamlining with technology solutions.  They seek a strong accountant with an analytical mind who can generate, produce and analyze data as well as doing accounting functions.  This role will be instrumental in the redevelopment of work flow and processes, and will have opportunities to lead other accountants and analysts.  

Specifically, this role will 
  • Assist with establishing and documenting intercompany process and reconciliations
  • Assist with implementing best practices for account reconciliations
  • Assist with Human Resource account process and reconciliations (payroll, benefits, employee deferrals)
  • Prepare monthly management reports and analyze/research unusual variances
  • Oversee Global Business Services (GBS) model to deliver accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Assist with interim and annual financial audits with internal and external auditors.    
  • Strong process improvement and analytical skills.
  • Manage and participate in special projects as required.
  • Foster a positive work environment
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company policy

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and 4+years of related experience required
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in a CPA firm helpful
  • Manufacturing experience desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Proficiency in SAP ideal
  • Working knowledge of internal controls and accounting policy
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Agile mindset able to adapt to changing business and process requirements
  • Keen eye to detail with ability to identify and implement strategic process improvement ideas
