SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting strategic decision-making through detailed reporting and analysis. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of US GAAP, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, high-performing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare manual journal entries in compliance with company policies
Prepare journal entries by classifying and coding data and reconciling ledger accounts
Prepare detailed account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
Reconcile all US bank accounts
Reconcile balance sheet accounts in Blackline
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
Investigate and explain account details and variances from expectations
Perform detailed analysis of general ledger accounts and issue reports on findings
Review purchase orders and resolve cost discrepancies
Set and amend transfer pricing policy
Participate in organizing, staffing, and auditing during annual physical inventory counts
Function as project manager or specialist for specific assignments
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3 years of business experience performing detailed accounting work
Experience in a manufacturing organization
Deep knowledge of computerized management information systems
Clear understanding of US GAAP
Strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures
Basic understanding of business ethics
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CMA or CPA certification
