Our client is a major private equity firm based in Houston, and they are growing at an exceptional pace. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their organization and work closely with the Controller and CFO to support the organization's accounting and reporting activities.

Responsibilities
GL accounting, reconciliation, review, and analysis
Management (internal) reporting
Budgeting and planning
Assist in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes and be able to recommend and implement improvements where needed
Special projects and ad hoc reporting as directed by executive management
Assist with Investor presentations
Engage in improving accounting technology functionality
Assist in research of accounting guidance and implementation of such policies
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s in Accounting or MBA is a plus)
Significant exposure to general accounting and financial reporting, including internal controls, is required
3-5Â years of experience is required
Strong accounting and GAAP background required
Big 4 Accounting experience is strongly preferred
PE industry-related experience is a plus
CPA is required
Must demonstrate leadership potential
Must exhibit a strong work ethic and be willing and able to complete projects accurately under tight deadlines
Should exhibit strong organizational skills
Should exhibit strong excel skills (pivot table experience is a plus)
