Our privately owned successful healthcare company is seeking an entrepreneurial, conscientious individual to fill the role of Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is driven, open-minded, eager to learn, and willing to roll up his or her sleeves. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple accounting projects at the same time. The Senior Staff Accountant will wear a variety of hats across the finance and accounting department to help support the accounting function.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze profitability of clinical research studies through multiple business service lines
  • Participate in optimization of sophisticated enterprise resource planning information system
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Operations personnel to learn the healthcare services, durable medical equipment, and clinical research industries to generate well-supported and insightful financial analysis
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a timely basis
  • Support quarterly and annual budget creation across multiple companies
  • Reconcile bank accounts and assist in monthly close process, booking of journal entries, AR and AP management, and creation of financial statements
  • Assist with company's expense plans and monthly forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards and financial policies
  • Foster a climate that creates and evaluates best practice processes, structures, and systems
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, CPA, or CPA candidate
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Familiarity with project accounting is a plus
  • NetSuite experience is a plus but not required
