Job Description


The SAP Commodity Management Techno-Functional Consultant will play a key role in delivering SAP solutions that optimize pricing, procurement, and sales processes for clients in commodity-driven industries, including agriculture, energy, and metals. This position requires strong expertise in the Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) as well as technical skills in customizing, configuring, and integrating SAP solutions across the broader enterprise system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for commodity pricing, offering strategic guidance and support to clients.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, enhance system performance, and recommend process improvements.
  • Deliver user training and prepare comprehensive functional documentation for clients.
  • Work alongside other SAP module consultants (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, etc.) to ensure smooth integration and a cohesive end-to-end solution.
  • Partner with IT teams to support system upgrades, enhancements, and maintain optimal system performance.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Lead the implementation of the Commodity Management (CM) module, including its integration with Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance (FI/CO) modules.
  • Develop and optimize business processes related to commodity handling, contracts, market pricing, and risk management.
  • Oversee end-to-end SAP project delivery, covering blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Design, configure, and implement SAP CPE to manage complex commodity pricing formulas, integrate external market data, and create dynamic pricing models.
  • Develop custom pricing solutions using CPE for procurement and sales processes, ensuring alignment with industry-specific needs.
  • Work closely with ABAP and development teams to create technical specifications for custom developments, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to validate SAP configurations and customizations.
  • Act as the SME for commodity pricing, providing ongoing support and strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and propose continuous improvements.
  • Provide training and produce detailed functional documentation to support clients’ understanding of the system.
  • Work with SAP module consultants to ensure integration and alignment with end-to-end solution architecture.
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure the system is regularly updated and performing at its best.
