SUMMARY
A Dallas headquartered IT Consulting firm with North America and European offices is seeking an experienced project manager for the Dallas office.  You will lead and manage cross functional teams and utilize expertise in Scum Methodologies for delivery.  The ideal candidate will be open to Contract to Hire and able to work in person at client sites as needed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful project management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of Agile/Scrum principles.
The ideal person for this role is a clear and direct communicator with a curiosity and excitement for problem solving while delivering high value with low effort.  They work very well with others and strongly value teamwork.  They will have an enthusiasm for technology and a passion for continuous learning. 
This position also has the potential to support multiple business areas within the organization (Finance, Sales, Products, Transactions, Communications and Customer Support).
The Senior Project Manager oversees all activities and tasks of an assigned project(s). This may include managing or coordination with a team of Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other Project Managers.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
  • Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile/Scrum best practices and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manage project scope, timelines and budgets against what has previously been defined.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies in a proactive manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team by implementing lessons learned and optimizing processes.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and key metrics and milestones to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency within the project team.
  • Ability to track and report project financials from forecast to actual.
     
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or other relevant certifications highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and practices, with hands-on experience implementing them in a software development environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • High degree of Integrity, respect, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent business and financial analysis skills.
