This role is open due to an internal promotion and is the “right-hand” to the VP of Investor Relations, Treasury, and Corporate Development. The COO, CFO, and the Board of Directors will see your work.

The compensation package includes a competitive base salary, annual cash short-term incentives, and a long-term incentive (LTI).

Summary

The Manager – Corporate Development is responsible for developing financial models and preparing competitive analyses at the request of executive and senior management, as well as the Board of Directors in order to support long-term strategic planning and decision-making.  

Responsibilities
  • Communicates current market environment and competitors’ outlook to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Assists in the deal process for any merger, acquisition, divestiture, or other strategic opportunities including meeting with key counterparties (banks, brokers, etc.), drafting memorandum and coordinating with internal stakeholders
  • Tracks and analyzes company performance and valuation metrics relative to peer group
  • Contribute to improving the corporate development team by improving existing processes, enrolling, and developing new team members.
  • Responsible for planning and executing project management techniques to enhance business performance and improve financial stability
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer as well as other members of Finance and Accounting senior management as needed
  • Coordinates across the organization to align competitor models to internal company assumptions for comparable assets
  • Develops and maintains technical financial models and performs analyses that support strategic initiatives including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and other investment opportunities
  • Gathers and prepares information for Board meetings
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Finance or other business degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity
  • Masters or CFA preferred
  • Experience in Corporate Planning, Investment Banking, or other similar exposure
  • Strong analytical, research and financial modeling skills; experience with valuation modeling preferred
  • Excel proficiency required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Energy industry experience preferred
