SUMMARY:

A global upstream energy company is seeking a Financial System Analyst with heavy Hyperion database experience in a Hybrid work environment in Houston, TX (Energy Corridor) 

Job Description
This position will provide support to the Senior Financial Systems Manager in the maintenance and development of Hyperion databases to include, but not limited to, applications including HFM, Planning, Essbase, financial reports and tools such as Smart View Excel Add-In.
Essential functions
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of Hyperion databases, applications and tools to support financial and operational reporting needs.
  • Provide daily data and process validation to confirm system outputs are correct and ensure data integrity.
  • To comply with SOX requirements will document changes to applications, databases, security, etc.
  • Set up new users with appropriate access to applications.
  • Maintain and develop calc scripts, partitions and rules files.
  • Create and manage Hyperion reports that address current Company/user needs.
  • Provide support to user community through troubleshooting, report development and training.
  • As needed, assist in implementation of new Hyperion products.
  • Serve as Administrator for Floqast Reconciliations which includes: user maintenance, management of work flow and accounts; Dataload reconciliation between HFM and Floqast, and related reporting.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
  • Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.
  • Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.
  • Do not take short cuts or unnecessary risks and actively work with others to ensure they take due care and do not put themselves or others at risk.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.
  • As needed, seek advice from HSE representative.
Qualifications
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
  • Should have at least 2 years of specific work experience.
  • Must have extensive experience with HFM, Planning, Essbase, financial reports, financial and general business analysis and tools such as Smart View Excel Add-In.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must have excellent leadership and analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent PC skills to include all MS Office products.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective manner.
  • Must have financial analysis modelling skills.
  • Hyperion/HFM/Planning/Essbase experience preferred.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective.
