JOB SUMMARY:
The HR business leader is responsible for all human resource functions including recruiting, on-boarding, employee retention and leadership training, development & implementation of best practices in HR, compliance reporting, employee benefits management, negotiation and analysis, disciplinary actions, and policy development & management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and administer all HR policies for the company
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting personnel for real estate operations and office positions, including interviewing and establishing best practices in recruitment for new hires
- Process and onboard new hires
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of State and Federal laws, regulations, procedures and standards
- Review, develop, implement, and administer HR policies for the Company
- Develop, implement, and administer an annual employee performance appraisal program
- Assist supervisory personnel in counseling of low performing employees
- Maintain company policies, including Company Handbook
- Maintain company culture and assess culture fit of any prospective candidates
- Administer and assist in the maintenance of all Company benefit and insurance programs
- Ensure compliance and appropriate reporting with local, State, and Federal agencies
- Administer and maintain all personnel and payroll files
- Process out-going employees
- Develop and implement personnel training programs
- Facilitate positive company culture
- Maintain information about best practices in compensation and benefits in the industry, and assist with employee raises and bonuses evaluation
- Work closely with top executives in this organization collaboratively
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
- Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience with working with top executives in a mid-sized organization required
- Entrepreneurial experience of establishing an HR department strongly desired
- Ability to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity in employee relation situations and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to develop strong working relationships. Good team building, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task, assess needs, influence, collaborate and deliver results.
- Extensive experience in recruiting, team building, training, and developing human resource policies and procedures
- Ability to coach, advise and fully partner with company managers and steer team leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating employee issues and conflict resolution; maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information
- PHR or SPHR preferred or working towards certification
- Benefit administration experience to include 401(k) plans
- Experience working with an outsourced payroll management system strongly preferred
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
