The HR Generalist will serve as the organization's primary payroll resource while supporting key human resources initiatives. Payroll administration is the most critical responsibility for this position and requires a candidate with proven, hands-on experience. In addition to payroll, the role will oversee benefits administration, Texas Workforce Commission unemployment claims, HR compliance, and day-to-day employee support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process payroll accurately and on schedule while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and company requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and issue resolution.
Administer employee benefits and assist employees with enrollment and benefit inquiries.
Manage Texas Workforce Commission unemployment claims and related documentation.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulations.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
Partner with leadership to support HR operations and foster a positive employee experience.
Assist with special HR projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist.
Extensive, hands-on payroll experience is required and is considered an essential qualification.
