ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our Houston based Client is a long standing, stable, growing, privately owned, $50MM revenues energy services company located in East/Southeast Houston. As the organization continues to expand, they are seeking a detail oriented HR and Accounting professional to join their team and support key operations within a collaborative and hands on environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an in office role that provides HR and accounting support to the organization.  This position will be fully responsible for payroll that is managed through Insperity as well as benefits administration.  This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of the team and to support every part of the organization.  There is low turnover in the organization and a strong team environment.   The company has operations in other states but is headquartered in Houston and all accounting, HR and purchasing is done out of Houston.  This role would be over the 401K administration as well as other incentives.

This role will assist the accounting department in general accounting, reporting and analysis and will also serve as the HR Generalist.  This person will play an important role in supporting day to day HR operations with a focus on payroll administration, employee onboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Report and administer payroll for employees using Insperity while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Assist with payroll related inquiries and maintain payroll records
  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new hires including preparation of documentation and facilitating orientation
  • Ensure completion of required employment forms and compliance documentation for new hires
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee files and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure employee records are updated and properly maintained
  • Provide general HR administrative support and assist with employee requests
  • Support HR initiatives and handle administrative tasks related to HR operations
  • Assist the Accounting team in general accounting, monthly and annual reporting and analysis. 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or similar program required
  • Technical proficiency with payroll processing and administration, preferably within a PEO arrangement
  • Ability to work fully in office required
  • Experience working in an ERP system required
  • Experience managing employee onboarding and new hire documentation
  • Experience with general accounting and financial reporting in a small or mid sized company required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistency in administrative processes
  • Strong tenure in similarly sized organizations required, as well as a Houston based candidate
  • Dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing hands-on operational responsibilities
