ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Controls Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects. This position is responsible for managing project schedules and costs, supporting project teams with data-driven insights, and helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop cost estimates for new projects using historical data and industry benchmarks
  • Create and maintain cost tracking tools and monitor project spend against baseline budgets
  • Analyze variances, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project schedules
  • Update schedules regularly and integrate contractor and supply chain timelines
  • Apply Critical Path Method to identify risks and recommend schedule adjustments
  • Support development of work breakdown structures and baseline plans
  • Create and standardize templates and processes for cost and schedule control
  • Maintain historical project data to improve future planning and forecasting
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop project performance metrics
  • Perform additional duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • 0 to 3 years of project experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Primavera P6
  • Project Management Professional certification

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work on project sites as needed
  • Up to 20 percent travel required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for reporting and analysis
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
