Finance Manager

Our client is a well capitalized, PE backed, hypergrowth SAAS company that serves the energy industry. They are seeking an experienced finance professional to join their dynamic startup team which provides digital technology solutions focused on reducing emissions within the energy industry.
As the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in managing their financial operations, forecasting and reporting financial performance, and driving strategic decision-making to ensure the long-term financial success of the company. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that support their mission to reduce emissions and create a more sustainable future.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to guide strategic decision-making, measure financial performance, and ensure the company’s financial health
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders to provide insights into the company’s financial performance and identify opportunities to improve the business
  • Manage the company’s outside CPA and auditors to complete regular, formal reporting
  • Develop cash management strategies to ensure adequate funds are available to support the company’s growth
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payment and collection of invoices
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis on potential commercial relationships, partnerships, and acquisitions
  • Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute fundraising strategies, including preparing pitch materials for investors and partners
  • Physical office location in Houston, TX


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited educational institution; MBA, CPA or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting related to energy industry and/or sustainability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and additional business intelligence tools, with advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to compose and comprehend effective accounting and finance reports
  • Self-motivation, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and desire to help build a team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
