ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a hands-on IT Lead to serve as the primary technical resource for a high-growth organization with an ambitious roadmap to modernize, innovate, and scale. This is not a vendor-management or purely strategic role. This position blends cloud architecture, systems administration, security, and frontline support, with direct ownership of the company’s technology environment from day-to-day operations to long-term transformation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the migration of remaining on-premise workloads to a cloud-native environment, owning architecture decisions, execution, stability, and long-term uptime
Design, build, and maintain a secure and scalable network connecting the corporate office with field-based assets
Provide white-glove IT support across the organization, including hands-on troubleshooting for executives and field personnel
Implement and maintain security and compliance controls including identity management, multi-factor authentication, device encryption, and patching to ensure audit readiness
Identify repetitive operational tasks and automate workflows related to onboarding, data collection, and system management to support scalable growth
Partner directly with leadership to align technology strategy with business goals and support a data-driven, highly efficient operating model
QUALIFICATIONS
Deep, hands-on experience in systems administration combined with cloud architecture expertise
Proven ability to serve as both a technical architect and frontline IT support resource
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess and remediate complex technical environments
Comfort working in fast-growing, evolving organizations where priorities shift and ownership is critical
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience supporting oil and gas operations or similar field-based, uptime-critical environments
Ability to effectively communicate with both engineers and field operators
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience migrating organizations from legacy or on-premise environments to Microsoft Azure
Expert-level knowledge of identity management and modern device management platforms
Strong networking expertise, particularly in remote or rugged operating environments
Experience scripting and automating workflows using tools such as PowerShell or Python
