Job Description
Our client is seeking an ETL Developer that will play a crucial role running, maintaining and ongoing development of their Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI tools as well as other associated applications. The ETL Developer will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, and implementing streamlined processes, policies and procedures and standards pertaining to the EDW.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal operation and performance of the Data Warehouse and respond to daily requests and issues.
- Standardize, troubleshoot, and modify ETL processes
- Work with a cross-functional team and business stakeholders and to align the data warehouse with organizational objectives.
- Manage resolution of data warehouse-related issues, minimizing impact on the organization.
- Monitor the data warehouse for optimal operational performance.
- Document and support data warehouse workflows and structure for business users.
- Collaborate with the IT Security to ensure DR objectives are met.
- Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of ETL, BI and Data Warehouse experience
- Proficient in coding languages, including C# or Java, XML and SQL.
- Solid understanding of DW architectures as well as OLAP, MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS and Data Modeling.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, business acumen and be comfortable working with technical and nontechnical users including C-level executives
