Our Client is a leading consulting firm engaged in a rewrite of an application. They are seeking an experienced Full Stack (.Net/SQL) Developer for an 18-month contract located in downtown Houston, Texas. It is preferred the individual is in Houston and must be onsite.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking an experienced Full Stack (.net/sql) developer. You will join our project team in the migration of a legacy ASP.NET Web Forms (ASPX) application to a .NET Core 10 REST API backend with an Angular frontend. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable web applications and services using .NET Core 10.  This role  requires you to be on-site in downtown Houston 5 days a week and focuses on providing technical expertise and delivering robust full stack development solutions across complex enterprise environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain applications and APIs using .NET Core 10 technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core).
Prior experience in backend database conversions from Oracle to SQL Server, including conversion of Oracle stored procedures, packages, and PL/SQL logic to T-SQL Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Build and maintain front-end components that integrate seamlessly with back-end services
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance issues
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices
Support deployment activities and ongoing production support as needed
Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience in .NET development
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core Web API (.NET Core 10), Entity Framework Core, and RESTful API design (OpenAPI/Swagger) Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server including database design and performance tuning
Experience with Oracle (PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages) and SQL Server, including Oracle-to-SQL Server database conversions
Experience using Azure DevOps, Git source control and CI/CD Pipelines
Proficiency in Angular (v15+), TypeScript, RxJS, and Angular Material or PrimeNG
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using coding assistants such as GitHub copilot for all phase of SDLC.
Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) and unit test frameworks.
Familiarity with Midstream industry, NGL/Gas pipeline operations, or volumetric accounting and measurement systems.
Experience migrating ASP.NET Web Forms (ASPX) applications to modern SPA architecture.
Experience with SCADA or EFM data systems.
Experience on projects using Agile methodology
Additional Details:
40 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate core work hours between 8:30am through 3pm. Resource should be able to accommodate periodic 7:30am meetings with Operations personnel
Required on-site in Houston, TX on Mondays through Thursdays; remote work permitted on Fridays
