Summary We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help advance our use of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics across the business. In this role, you'll apply statistical modeling and data science techniques to solve complex challenges, optimize processes, and improve both online and in-store customer experiences. This senior-level position includes hands-on model development, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring responsibilities within a growing analytics team. Description As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work with large-scale, complex datasets to build predictive and prescriptive models that influence key business decisions. You will serve as a thought leader in the data science function—owning the lifecycle of data products from ideation through production—and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, finance, operations, and IT. This position requires technical depth in data modeling and programming as well as the communication skills to translate insights into action for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and statistical techniques
Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, predict behavior, and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Own the full lifecycle of data science products—from concept to production—including documentation, validation, and monitoring
Acquire, integrate, and cleanse large and diverse datasets to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, define project goals, and align data solutions to strategic objectives
Design A/B tests and contribute to experimentation frameworks for validating model performance and business outcomes
Create compelling data visualizations and presentations for a range of audiences, from executives to technical stakeholders
Deploy and scale machine learning models in production environments while ensuring reliability and performance
Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in data science and propose innovation opportunities
Requirements Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering
Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
4+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering (data science experience preferred)
2+ years in a senior analyst or lead capacity, ideally within a large-scale or enterprise environment
Experience with retail analytics and omnichannel strategies is a plus
Skills:
Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala for data modeling and analysis
Strong background in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn)
Hands-on experience in cloud environments (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS); BigQuery is a plus
Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or MicroStrategy
Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to varied audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
