Job Description

Job Summary:
Manages day-to-day accounting activities. Coordinate, develop, and maintain a general ledger and subsidiary ledger along with a charts of accounts necessary to provide accurate and timely financial reporting as well as the requirements of corporate management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists in preparation and processing of detailed financial statements for the company
  • Coordinate financial audits with the CFO
  • Delegate data entry tasks with staff
  • Assists in preparation of written budgets and reports in accordance with the company’s needs
  • Establish internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements
  • Reconcile accounts monthly
  • Assist with the supervision of inventory count teams on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Assist with the processing and submission of invoices
  • Perform freight and depreciation analysis monthly
  • Review financial data on a monthly basis and consult with management about problems or discrepancies
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA accreditation preferred
  • Proven experience as assistant controller or other similar position
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
