Job Description

Our growing Downtown client is seeking to add an Contract Accountant to assist their accounting group. The position will report directly to the Controller. This is a hybrid role and only requires 2 days a week in the office. 

Functions:
  • Preparing journal entries,
  • Perform account reconciliations,
  • Account analysis and bank reconciliations
  • Performing inter-company accounting,
  • Support the monthly close process 
  • Participate in other general accounting projects as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year accredited college or university is preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years of general experience
  • SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel  
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple groups within the Accounting Department and departments within the Company
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
