We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workday Financials Analyst to support, configure, and enhance Workday Financials environment. This role will play a key part in optimizing finance-related modules, improving reporting and integrations, and ensuring data integrity across the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, and experience working directly with Workday Financials. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a functional expert for Workday Financials, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll Accounting, and Customer Accounts.
Configure and maintain the Financial Data Model (FDM), including ledger, cost center, and spend/revenue category hierarchies.
Build, test, and deploy business processes, custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite), calculated fields, and validations to support finance operations.
Maintain integrations and EIBs for financial data transfers between Workday and third-party systems (banks, payroll providers, tax systems, etc.).
Support the monthly and quarterly financial close process, including journal entry review, reporting, and reconciliation workflows.
Collaborate with accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into system enhancements.
Provide end-user support and training across financial modules, improving adoption and system utilization.
Monitor and test Workday release updates, ensuring finance modules remain compliant and optimized.
Assist with internal and external audit support and ensure SOX compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
3–7+ years of experience with Workday Financials, including functional configuration and daily support.
Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting processes.
Proficiency in Workday reporting tools, calculated fields, business process configuration, and tenant setup.
Experience with EIBs, APIs, and basic SQL for financial data extraction and transformation.
Familiarity with system security roles, custom Worktags, and financial integration management.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
Workday Certification in Financials or Reporting
Experience with Adaptive Planning, Concur, CoStar, or MicroStrategy
Background in PeopleSoft Financials or transition to Workday
Exposure to payroll accounting, intercompany accounting, or franchise accounting
Background in agile methodologies or HR digital transformation
