This role provides an opportunity to contribute to regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to firearm and sales documentation regulations while supporting internal teams with compliance-related processes.
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance related to firearms, sales documentation, and law enforcement requests. This role involves processing firearm traces, managing sales and registration documentation, and supporting stores with compliance-related inquiries. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
DESCRIPTION
- Complete Firearm Traces for FBI NICS, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Respond to law enforcement requests for Form 4473s, receipts, and video documentation.
- Manage the boat, trailer, and ride-on sales registration process, including ownership documentation processing.
- Serve as part of an on-call group, assisting stores with Firearm Compliance inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State firearm regulations and company policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Adapt to changing responsibilities and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of related work experience required.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive compliance-related information.
Physical Requirements & Attendance:
- Regular attendance required.
- Participation in an on-call rotation group, including one weekend shift per month.
- Acceptable hearing and vision levels to perform job duties.
- Must adhere to company work hours, policies, and professional standards.
