Job Description
Our environmental services client is seeking a part-time Benefits Specialist to support the firms HR and Benefits functions. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who excels in benefits administration and employee support. The employee will play a key role in ensuring smooth benefits processing, payroll accuracy, and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct benefit orientations for new hires, providing clear guidance on available programs.
- Process new hire information, ensuring seamless enrollment in ADP, health care benefits, and 401(k) plans.
- Handle employee terminations, including benefit deactivation and compliance processes.
- Format and upload 401(k) withholdings to the plan provider.
- Ensure payroll runs smoothly, on time, and with accuracy.
- Respond to employee inquiries via email and phone regarding benefits and payroll.
- Assist in negotiations with benefits providers to secure optimal plans for employees.
- Format and upload HSA withholdings into the HSA system.
- Previous experience in HR, benefits administration, or payroll processing.
- Familiarity with ADP, 401(k), and HSA processing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a part-time capacity.
