Houston based CPA firm seeks Experienced Auditors for both full time roles and contract assignments – Staff level through Manager level available!
DESCRIPTION:
Our well established, long standing and well respected local Houston CPA firm client is growing and looking to add to their assurance practice as soon as possible. This friendly, effective and genuinely nice group of people have established a positive culture valuing work life balance and professional growth. They need to hire people due to an influx of new work in the middle market/private client services team and the new auditors will work a hybrid schedule in the firm office and at client offices. This group works with a variety of industries including construction, homebuilding, manufacturing, real estate, services, etc, and their clients range in size and revenues. The client office is located on the West/SW side of Houston. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a great team that wants to hire the nicest auditors in town!
Specifically, the staff/experienced staff auditor will:
Assist in execution of audit programs.
Perform auditing for corporate operations, finances and compliances with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to business processes and controls.
Maintain positive working relationships with management and audit teams.
Perform assigned audit activities timely and effectively.
Interview business units to obtain information required for auditing.
Notify audit issues to Managers in a timely fashion.
Prepare reports of audit findings and recommendations to management.
Maintain all audit work papers and reports for reference purposes.
REQUIREMENTS:
BBA Accounting or Finance, with at least 21 hours of accounting
External audit experience in a CPA firm required, 1+ year of experience minimum, up to 8 years of external audit
This team is open to considering candidates who have transitioned to industry and are wanting to return to client services.
