ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time, contract position. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices while collaborating with vendors, operations, and internal teams. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices through Basware or similar systems
Manually match purchase order invoices with accuracy
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries via phone and email
Collaborate with vendors and operations teams to resolve payable issues
Assist with monthly and yearly close activities
Handle administrative duties such as mail distribution and copying
Complete miscellaneous accounting projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required
2 or more years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
Experience with Oracle Cloud/EBS and Basware strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines
Stable work history with demonstrated reliability
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with JDE or Oracle systems
Prior exposure to the oil and gas industry
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
