DESCRIPTION:
The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full cycle GL accounting, journal entries
Assist in the monthly preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
Manage the monthly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation, overseeing general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate account reconciliations
Oversee project accounting, including tracking of capital & operating expenditures.
Treasury duties such as Wire/ACH creation and positive pay clearing
Ensure accurate accounting for royalties, leases, fixed assets (CIP), and long term debt obligations
Assist in the implementations of software and systems, as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 to 10 years related experience in a variety of finance functions or equivalent
Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Construction in Process (CIP) and fixed assets experience a plus
Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a plus
