Job Description: As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications. Your primary focus will be on setting up CI/CD pipelines, deploying remote cloud development environments using tools like Coder, and ensuring seamless integration between various systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS services, particularly Docker, Kubernetes/ECS, and Python coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our cloud-based applications, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of code changes.
- Deploy and manage remote cloud development environments using tools such as Coder, providing developers with a streamlined and secure coding environment.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability on AWS infrastructure.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/ECS to support microservices architecture.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and automation to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in adopting best practices and achieving team objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes/ECS.
- Strong programming skills in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and scalability principles in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
