Job Description

SUMMARY:

Our DT energy client company is seeking a Marketing Accountant to perform various functions related to client's assets. The primary responsibilities include preparing monthly actual and accrual schedules, preparing profit/loss, balance sheet and elimination journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, monthly financial analysis, and prior period adjustments (PPAs). This position reports directly to the Marketing Accounting Manager. 

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for preparing and processing monthly actuals and accruals.
  • Responsible for processing and reviewing PPAs
  • Responsible for preparing various account reconciliations and analysis
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Production teams to ensure accurate data is received.
  • Responsible for tracking and recording inventory and imbalances
  • Maintain SOX controls, policies and procedures related to specific job duties
  • Assist and participate in special projects, as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree
  • 2 years or less of Oil and Gas accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create and/or improve processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with demands of a growing company
  • Ability to meet deadlines and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Team oriented individual

  • Revenue Accounting experience
  • Marketing Accounting experience
  • Enertia Software experience
