ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, security, and optimization of enterprise network environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring network performance, reliability, and resilience. You will have the opportunity to influence architecture decisions, guide technology strategies, and deliver large-scale, high-impact projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain network performance across enterprise systems
Build network configurations and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability
Design and audit IP addressing schemes and develop system configurations
Define, document, and enforce system and security standards
Troubleshoot outages, schedule upgrades, and maximize system performance
Configure routers, switches, and SD-WAN equipment (Meraki preferred)
Collaborate with architects to optimize network infrastructure
Secure systems by defining policies and monitoring access controls
Maintain knowledge through professional development and industry research
Partner with security teams to strengthen enterprise-level protection
Provide technical strategy and guidance for network growth and innovation
Lead architectural changes, new designs, and technology implementations
Serve as a technical consultant on enterprise-wide initiatives
Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud connectivity architectures
Manage infrastructure for growth, resilience, and disaster recovery
Provide 3rd-level support for escalated network issues
Assist with wireless infrastructure and EA network design considerations
Lead large-scale network projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of IP Routing Protocols, specifically EIGRP and BGP (including outage handling, migrations, eBGP/iBGP, route policies)
10+ years of LAN/WAN networking experience with multi-site, data center, or retail networks
5+ years of hands-on firewall security experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
Proven expertise in large-scale Cisco WAN/LAN design and maintenance
