Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Finance and Accounting Department by providing financial information that is relevant and beneficial including monthly financials, key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and web-based performance indicators. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will present insights and recommendations to senior leadership for all corporate office departments and support services. The Senior Analyst will perform ad hoc analysis and assist in preparing and updating company budgets and forecasts by department.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform monthly variance analysis of corporate department expenses to budget and prepare executive summary.
• Explain nature of variance and prepare updated expense forecasts.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the corporate office departments and support services.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis to analyze impact of potential decisions.
• Validate general ledger data vs. operational reporting systems.
• Provide in-depth analysis of corporate expenditures (such as support services, utilities, rent). Prepare, distribute, and review monthly reporting materials with department heads.
• Create new reports and tools to assist in the management of the business.
• Assist with implementation and integration of new process and software products as well as assists in the ongoing utilization and design of existing software/databases to maximize utility in reporting.
• Partners with the operations finance group to incorporate operational updates into the overall company forecast.
• Prepare capital budgets with appropriate department heads.
• Provide data and analysis related to corporate evaluation and insurance renewals.
• Work to identify areas of improvement.
Requirements
• BBA in finance or accounting.
• 3+ years of experience working in corporate finance, FP&A, or business analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in SQL, business planning tools, and other OLAP (online analytical process) applications.
• Experience working with large ERP Systems.
• Experience with reporting and dash boarding software.
• Detail oriented, strong organizational, and time management skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Analytical and excels at problem solving.
• Collaborative and works well in a team environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
