ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Analyst to join their Finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support a clean-up project critical to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The Payment Analyst will be responsible for monitoring daily transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring payment integrity across multiple channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and review daily payment transactions across ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and checks
Research and respond to customer tickets regarding missing or misapplied payments and deposits
Reconcile payment data with bank statements and company financial records to ensure accuracy
Investigate, identify, and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner
Escalate and mitigate potential fraud risks related to payment activity
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes and effective resolution of issues
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
2–4 years of experience in payment processing, accounting, or financial operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Professional communication skills for internal and external correspondence
