Our Client, a leading organization in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that align with organizational goals while fostering a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The HRBP will partner with leadership to support workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, training, and performance management initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR expertise, business acumen, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with business leaders to identify workforce needs and implement aligned talent strategies
Support recruitment, internal mobility, and retention initiatives to strengthen workforce engagement and performance
Design and implement succession planning frameworks to ensure leadership continuity and prepare high-potential employees for critical roles
Partner with managers to build career paths and development opportunities for employees
Conduct training needs assessments and deliver learning programs to build workforce capability, leadership skills, and compliance knowledge
Support technical, operational, and soft-skill training initiatives relevant to the oil and gas sector
Guide managers through the annual performance cycle, including goal-setting, coaching, and feedback
Monitor performance data to identify trends and recommend improvement interventions
Serve as an HR advisor on organizational design, employee relations, and change management
Collaborate with leaders to build inclusive, values-driven, and safety-focused workplaces
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry-specific health and safety regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Master’s degree preferred
4–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in oil and gas, energy, or industrial sectors
Experience in talent management, succession planning, training program development, and performance management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution
Knowledge of labor laws, compliance frameworks, and health and safety standards relevant to the oil and gas industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Certification in HR (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred
