FINANCIAL ANALYST
HYBRID (2-3 days in office)  CENTRAL HOUSTON                       
Summary
Great opportunity in a growing energy company! This company will develop you, and you can rotate into different areas, such as treasury, investor relations, strategic planning, etc.
The Financial Analyst will work in Planning and development and support the Corporate Planning team by preparing long-range forecasting, strategic planning, and other ad hoc analyses. The primary function will be to gather data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and long-term forecasts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with various departments to gather data and update long-range models.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to trends in operational performance and financial metrics to support long-range planning initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and analyses related to long-range planning and other ad hoc initiatives for management and the Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with finance management to identify and implement improvements in the planning process and best practices.
  • Conduct variance analyses, monitoring actual performance against forecasts and budgets, with summarized findings.
  • Provide support to functional groups throughout the organization via ad-hoc reporting and distribution of financial information.
Qualifications / Experience
  • BBA in finance or accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Team-player attitude.
