ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Collections Analyst to join their team in Houston, TX. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely collections, managing refunds, and maintaining clean account records. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a customer-first mindset while working cross-functionally across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to collection-related requests and resolve outstanding issues professionally
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve collection cases accurately and efficiently
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external collection agencies, including record management, dispute resolution, and reporting on direct customer payments
  • Process refunds, review balances, and handle payment transfers with accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify and correct account inconsistencies to ensure reliable customer records
  • Conduct fraud reviews, including enrollment verification, suspicious activity investigation, and fraud prevention calls

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in collections or a related role (retail electricity industry experience is a plus)
  • Experience with external collection agencies, including case management, disputes, and reporting preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related data tools
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and effective time management across multiple priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the retail electricity sector
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
