Our Client, a growing organization located in the Westchase area, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their fast-paced accounting team. This position reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and plays an important role in ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate financial records.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving purchase order and non-purchase order discrepancies. This role requires strong communication skills to maintain vendor relationships and close collaboration with internal departments to resolve issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately and efficiently process purchase order and non-purchase order invoices for timely payment
Reconcile vendor statements/accounts and communicate with vendors regarding outstanding issues
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through proactive communication via email and phone
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve PO/non-PO discrepancies and inquiries within assigned responsibilities
Perform data entry in accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy
Support clerical functions, including sorting and scanning mail and preparing checks for mailing
Assist in managing the Accounts Payable email inbox and addressing inquiries in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
Experience with Cloud Suite Distribution (CSD) ERP preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent time management abilities with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
Positive, team-oriented attitude with flexibility to take on various tasks as needed
