ABOUT THE ROLE
Family office/PE backed construction and services company seeks experienced Accounting Manager/Division Controller with MS Dynamics Business Central experience. West Houston location with local travel anticipated weekly initially. In office position 5 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will manage full cycle accounting (POC accounting), financial resources and MS Dynamics BC for two Houston based divisions. The company is looking for a dynamic leader who enjoys working with a cohesive team in a positive and professional manner while solving problems to fully support the Company's growth.
The Group company is headquartered in the DFW area and has a Family office/PE sponsor that is assisting with rapid group growth. The company needs to hire an experienced leader who can manage all accounting and finance functions for two Houston area locations and who can manage a small clerical team.
This role is responsible for month end close, tracking KPI’s, financial reporting, ERP system upgrades and troubleshooting and leading an accounting team. This role has dotted line reporting to a Group Controller in Dallas ({who reports to Group CFO) and dotted line to General Manager in Houston (who reports to Group COO) and will provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and address Group questions about the Houston divisions. This role will work in the West Houston office 3-4 days/week and travel locally to another division 1-2 times/week as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA and/or MBA nice to have, or pursuit of either is desired
MS Dynamics Business Central required
Strong Excel and systems experience required
3-8 years of progressive general accounting experience in construction or a similar industry desired. POC experience required
